AIR FORCE COLONEL SUSPENDED FROM DUTY FOR REFUSAL TO SIGN SAME-SEX CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION

A decision by Colonel Bohannon, a 20 year veteran of the Air Force, has grounded him with a suspension.  When faced with a "certificate of appreciation" to endorse a same-sex union, the Colonel refused to sign the certificate, even though he requested a religious accommodation not to do so.  The Family Research Council has presented the Air Force with a petition signed by over 77,000 people (along with the support of eight U.S. Senators)  in an attempt to reverse the suspension.   VAIB supports military personnel in such cases to act in accordance with their religious convictions without fear of retribution.   Read more here:
