CHURCH THREATENED IN MA FOR HELPING VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

A church in Massachusetts who opened a women's shelter to help victims of domestic violence is facing a new law just passed in 2016 which threatens the women's safety. The new law states that men have access to women's facilities and that churches must comply regardless of their religious beliefs. VAIB supports the rights of churches in such cases to minister to the members of their communities according to their beliefs. Additionally, VAIB supports the rights of individuals privacy and safety in matters such as this.
