FOURTH CIRCUIT COURT ORDERS REMOVAL OF CROSS MONUMENT

The American Humanist Association has won a lawsuit against Prince George County MD over the removal of a 40 foot cross, erected as a monument over 92 years ago for World War I veterans returning home.  A three panel judge ruled that the monument  "aggrandizes the Latin cross… the core symbol of Christianity."  VAIB is saddened to hear about the court's decision in this case, as we support the public display of faith-based symbols as stated in the First Amendment.  Read more here:
