OHIO BILL WOULD PRESERVE FREE SPEECH ON COLLEGE CAMPUSES

A legislator in Ohio has introduced a bill which would guarantee the rights to free speech on college campuses across the state.  The proposed bill states "It is not the proper role of a state institution of higher education to shield individuals from expression protected by the United States … including, without limitation, ideas and opinions that the institution finds unwelcome, disagreeable, or even deeply offensive."  VAIB stands for the First Amendment rights for college students to freely express their ideas and opinions and to decide for themselves their own beliefs without interference from college administrators.  Read more here:
