PROPOSED BILL IN MASS WOULD STRIP FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS FROM BUSINESSES

House Bill 671 has been introduced in Massachusetts which, if passed, would strip the First Amendment rights from businesses. The bill would make it illegal to conduct business in a way that would be deemed as "discriminatory", even if done so out of religious convictions. VAIB is opposed to any bill that attempts to deny a business owner or employee their First Amendment right to conduct business based upon their religious convictions.
