TEXAS JUDGE SUPPORTS DISMEMBERMENT ABORTIONS OVER STATE LAW

Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed S.B. 8 into law this past September, to  prohibit dismemberment abortions, except for in the case of medical emergency.  However, Planned Parenthood immediately and successfully blocked the enforcement of the law by bringing a lawsuit against the state.  A federal judge has now ruled that “The State’s valid interest in promoting respect for the life of the unborn, although legitimate, is not sufficient to justify such a substantial obstacle to the constitutionally protected right of a woman to terminate a pregnancy before fetal viability", thereby nullifying the law.  VAIB is saddened to hear of the judge's ruling in this case, as the Bible clearly states that life begins at conception.  Read more here:
