VAIB AND THE VIRGINIA BUDGET

Governor Northam has called a Special Session on April 11 for the General Assembly. The goal: agree to a budget. By law, the budget must be balanced. How your money will be spent is another matter. VAIB rarely has issues dealing with the budget. One exception is preventing state money from being used to pay for abortions. The second is opposition to raising taxes.
