MAYOR OF TOWN IN TENNESSEE REFUSES TO REMOVE BIBLE VERSE FROM COUNTY COURTHOUSE

The Freedom From Religion Foundation has filed a complaint with Henderson County in Tennessee because of a Bible verse inscribed on the cornerstone of the county courthouse which has been there for over 50 years. The mayor, however, has no plans to remove the verse, stating that "Our community is based upon the belief of a true and living God". VAIB supports the religious freedom in cases like this to display Bible verses on public property.
