VIRGINIA SCHOOL BOARD DEMANDS BIRTH CERTIFICATES BEFORE HOMESCHOOLED FAMILIES ARE GRANTED APPROVAL

The Franklin County School Board in Virginia has initiated a new policy requiring that homeschool families provide a birth certificate and proof of residence before being approved for homeschool.  However, this policy is in violation of state law, as Virginia does not require these documents.  As the Home School Legal Defense Association lawyer points out, such policies open the door for the state to require even more information about homeschool families in the future.  Read more here:
