Equal Rights Amendment: On Tuesday, the House Privileges and Elections subcommittee heard testimony on both House and Senate bills dealing with the ERA, or Equal Rights Amendment. These identical bills (HJ577, HJ579, HJ583, and SJ284) were given a thorough hearing. After a lengthy statement by Sen. Glen Sturtevant, testimony followed from Delegates Sam Rasoul and Jennifer Carroll Foy, plus six other speakers were given two-minutes each.
