December 21, 2017
God has used the VAIB since 1977 to be an influence for godly values and religious liberties. As we look back over the year, we rejoice to see how God has blessed in adding more churches to stand with VAIB. We already have twenty churches scheduled for 2018 but have room for so many more meetings. Call or email our office to schedule a meeting (804-299-3986 or firstname.lastname@example.org) with Eddy or Joe Naylor.
I am thankful God has given me the opportunity to serve you since 2010. I am also thankful for my wife, Carol, and her invaluable help. We now need your prayers for Carol as she faces a huge medical challenge. On December 4, an MRI revealed she has a brain tumor. It is about 2 ½ inches in diameter. The neurosurgeon is very confident it is benign and can be completely removed. Surgery is scheduled for December 29 and we are hopeful she will be home one week later.
Pastors & Prayer Days at the General Assembly
This year’s General Assembly session begins January 10. It will be very challenging with the many new people elected, including the Governor, Lt. Governor, and Attorney General. You can help by attending one of the Pastors and Prayer days. I am inviting pastors and others to visit any Tuesday from January 16 through March 6. Please disregard the date on the front of the postcard. I mistakenly sent last year’s postcard front to the printer. Contact me to let me know when you are coming.
Our goal must be to reach out and work with all legislators. No one party is the answer to our problems. So, whether you come to the Capitol or not, be sure to contact your legislators to let them know you are praying for them. Then, when you respond to a CapitolALERT asking them to support the VAIB’s position on a bill, it will be received with the same spirit. Look for weekly email updates.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
