Dear Pastor and Friends,
Thank you for taking time to keep up with the VAIB. By the time you receive this letter, this year’s work will be done.
Praise God for a fantastic ONE Voice for Liberties Conference this past September! Audio recordings are available on our web site at www.vaib.org/educate/conference-recordings. You’ll notice the box to the right has the dates for our conferences through 2020. We now meet the last Thursday and Friday of September.I hope you’ll take time to add these dates to your calendar.
Elections are over. While I am somewhat disappointed in losing some conservatives, nothing has changed in what we do and why VAIB must be at the Capitol. The work may be more challenging, but I will work from day one to develop relationships with our elected officials. And be reminded—God is still on the throne! And He still expects us to do our part here and now. For that reason, I hope you’ll join me at the Capitol at least one day during the General Assembly.
Join me at the Capitol!
The 2018 General Assembly session will soon be here! It runs from January 10 through March. Each Tuesday of session will be a VAIB “Pastors & Prayer” day at the Capitol. Join me to meet and pray for your delegates and senators. All pastors and church members are invited to attend. Call the office to let me know you are coming or if you have questions: 804-299-3986. Look for a “Pastors & Prayer” postcard in December giving more details
2018 Meeting Schedule
Carol is working on VAIB’s 2018 church meeting schedule for me and for VAIB representative, Joe Naylor. Maybe you have a date in mind. Please call our office at 804-299-3986 to get the date you want. If you know a pastor who is not informed about VAIB, contact the office so an information packet can be sent to him. Thank you!
VAIB will be having a Regional Luncheon in Roanoke in April. It will be open to pastors (assistant pastors, music pastors, etc.) and wives at no charge. More details are coming.
Let me say thank you to those new churches who have begun supporting VAIB. It is a joy to meet new folks along the way who are so encouraged that VAIB exists. And may I say thank you to those churches who have faithfully been supporting, some for many years, because they saw the need and believed in our work.
As the Christmas season approaches, Carol and I send these thoughts:
May you know the joy and peace that only Christ provides.
May God richly bless you for the days ahead.
May you take time to be with family and friends showing them the love of Christ.
