Covid Update

Many churches have begun to change their COVID policies since the Virginia mask mandate was lifted according to updated CDC guidelines. However, we urge caution to still be mindful that COVID-19 and especially the Delta variant continue to pose extreme risk to certain individuals. Recently, a dear pastor friend of VAIB passed away after nearly a month in the hospital fighting COVID. We ask for your prayers for the Richard Smith family in Norfolk.

As ministry leaders, we understand statistics show a decline in COVID infections and hospitalizations. But there is still a risk from the virus, and we recommend thorough disinfection and reasonable precautions still be taken at your facility.

Voter Guides Coming!

November 2 is our next state election. Voters will determine all one hundred House of Delegates seats, plus the next Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General. I hope to have voter guides available by August. If you’ve not decided who you’ll vote for, please start now by going online to find out who your candidates are so you can research their positions.

Scheduling for 2022

I’d love to be in your church to give an update on our work. If you’d like to schedule for 2022, just email me at ealiff@vaib.org or call 804-789-1278 and leave a message. What a blessing to be back in churches to see what God is doing! I want to say thank you to those churches and individuals who continue to give in support of VAIB’s mission.A

Conference Reminder!

This year’s conference happens on one day only—Thursday, September 23! The ONE Voice for Liberties Conference will be at Crossroads Baptist Church, 31 Crossroads Lane, Fishersville, VA. Plan now to attend. We need the fellowship and encouragement, and your presence will do just that. Plus, you need to be informed on matters impacting the church. See VAIB’s website to register and for more information.

We need every person who plans to attend to register in order to get an accurate count of those who will be staying for meals. Be sure to mark which meals you’ll need.

As in years past, VAIB depends on special donations from churches and individuals to underwrite the expense of the conference. You can give online or at the conference. As always, thank you for helping.

I hope to see you September 23 at the conference!
